About Us
Founded in 2017, Red Oak Rustic is a firefighter/LEO owned & operated LLC. What began as a weekend project for my new house, quickly turned into a passion for crafting quality woodwork. I wanted to make a Rustic Thin Red Line flag for my basement. On a whim, I threw my flag up on social media and was immediately met with an influx of orders. I began selling flags locally and eventually online.
In 2018, Red Oak Rustic added cornhole boards to our lineup. We began crafting custom cornhole boards for customers of every taste/design you could think of.
In late 2018, Red Oak Rustic created it's own first live edge piece, which was an Ash Live Edge bar for a client in Mickleton, NJ.
In January of 2019, owner Brian Thompson was contacted by Suzanne DeLaurentiis, a film producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. January 2019 was Red Oak Rustic's first ever business trip! In February of 2019, Red Oak Rustic attended the Suzanne DeLaurentiis 2019 Pre-Oscar Party and our product hit the red carpet. We had the opportunity to meet many stars, but more importantly had the opportunity to donate over 10 pieces of handcrafted woodwork to our nations veterans. We also had the opportunity to create and donate a wood American Flag to the Gary Sinise Foundation, receiving a handwritten letter of gratitude from Mr. Gary Sinise himself!
In February of 2020, Red Oak Rustic made the trip to Los Angeles, CA again to attend the Samira's Network Luxury Oscars Gala 2020. We brought our product onto the Red Carpet and donated a number of pieces to Hollywood starlets and producers.
Red Oak Rustic remained status quo for the remainder of 2020, as we founded our sister company, Triple 3 Vinyl & Graphics, a large format printing company specializing primarily in cornhole wraps and large format decals.
In March of 2021, Red Oak Rustic LLC absorbed our sole supplier of live edge slabs, adding a live edge slab sales section to our services. We now not only produce high quality woodwork, but we also provide local makers in the Greater Philadelphia Area with slabs and other high quality wood to produce their projects, advice and much more. We currently stock approximately 250 pieces of lumber ready for purchase to makers of all skill levels. Please refer to our Facebook page for slab inventory availability.
As of September 2021, Red Oak Rustic remains status quo. We have plans to transition from our current warehouse space to a retail space that will allow us a better atmosphere to interact with our customers, as well as provide us the necessary facilities to hold beginner classes such as table top epoxy and casting epoxy classes, build your own flag & cornhole board classes and more. We also plan to expand our available product line to include epoxy, hardware and many other items that are crucial to a woodworkers project.
We are incredibly greatful for every customer we have met along the way. We are just getting started and the real expansion has yet to begin.
